The Fediverse’s core strength is short, paragraph-length status updates, observations and comments. But more and more newsletter, blogging, and publishing platforms are implementing ActivityPub, leading to confusion about the best ways to create and share long-form text in the Fediverse. For this project, the Social Web Foundation will convene implementers and other stakeholders for a long-form text workshop to discuss data structures, interactions, and page formats. The outcome of the workshop will inform a proposed report for implementers, including potential ActivityPub extensions and processing rules.
